My name is Liza Souza, and I am a local girl, born and raised right here in Hawaii. I joined the State Farm ohana in 2008 as an office manager for my husband’s agency. At the time, this was going to be our family business. In 2016, my life changed suddenly when my husband suffered a heart attack and passed away. I found myself at a crossroads—do I move to another island to be closer to family, or do I step forward and take over the business we built together?

On August 1, 2017, I became a State Farm Agent. Looking back, I couldn't have made a better decision. I truly love what I do, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to serve my community and help others manage the risks of everyday life. I am proud of the company I represent and the values behind State Farm Insurance.

Our agency is located in beautiful upcountry Makawao, HI, and our goal has always been simple: make our customers feel like family. We hold true to the essence of the Aloha spirit while providing professional guidance and exceptional service. My team is friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to delivering customer service you can count on.

We are LOCAL, and that matters. Our agency supports food drives, delivers lunches to local firefighters, and donates to community sporting events. We are always looking for ways to give back and stay connected to the people who make this island so special.

Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me with my three children and our dogs, Lilikoi & Guava. We love the ocean—fishing, surfing, diving, and simply being together. Dancing hula has always been close to my heart. I started at the age of five and continue to dance today.

What I am most proud of is being a female, a single parent, and a business owner.
